The Bengals will be hosting free agent guard Dalton Risner for a workout on Tuesday.
The Bengals offensive line is known to struggle and it’s been a problem for years so adding a guy like Risner could help fortify the interior and help out rookie Dylan Fairchild.
Risner is a six-year vet, who was drafted by the Broncos as the 41st-pick in the 2019 NFL draft out of Kansas State. Risner became a solid starter along the Broncos offensive line starting in 62 games. Eventually after four seasons in Denver, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent starting in 19 games since joining the team in 2023. Unfortunately he was placed on IR at the start of last season with a back injury and later returned to the field, earning his starting role again so he should be ready to go when this season kicks off.
In a TikTok livestream, Risner said in April that he expected to sign soon. He named three teams he was in touch with and those teams were the Bengals, Broncos, and Vikings. He also mentioned how he’d ‘love to be a Bengal.’
On a TikTok live just now, Dalton Risner says Minnesota has shown interest in bringing him back, but “only to an extent.” Risner said he is in talks with “multiple teams”, and he imagines to be signed soon. Risner specifically mentioned the #Broncos, #Vikings and #Bengals.

Risner has started in 81 career games and would be a solid addition to a Bengals offensive line that needs help.
